Gils Guide Service is first class!  He has a fully rigged bass boat and lives right on lake amador.  I have been fishing with Gil since I was eight years old.  I have gone fishing with him multiple times each year since then.  I now have a bass boat of my own, but it has never been to Amador because after gas money for the boat and the SUV it ends up being cheaper to hire him for a guide trip, and with a trip you get his knowledge of the lake which is immense.  He has all the premium tackle any fisherman could possibly desire to use on their guide trip.  He also does night trips which are a rare and exciting fishing expirience that every fisherman should do at least once a year.  I have caught ridiculous amounts of quality bass with Gil on his guide trips.  He is also up to date with all the new bass fishing trends.  I would strongly suggest you look up Gil for a trip at Lake Amador or Lake Pardee.

I have been fishing with Gil since 1998.  I go 3-4 times   a year and I have yet to be disappointed.  Gil lives right on lake Amador and always knows what stage the bass are at throughout the year.  He gives his clients an excellent chance at catching that trophy
fish everyone is always after.  I have a boat and could go fish Amador anytime I like.  However with rising gas prices, by the time I gas up my boat and truck and arrive at Amador I could have already paid for Gil's services.  It is nice to be able to relax
and fish not having to load and unload the boat or guess what the fish might be hitting on.  Gil always provides first class tackle in both casting and spinning gear.  He uses baits that work and have been proven over years of experience.  I am booking a night
trip with a friend of mine for the full moon in July. Thank you Gil for the years of fond memories and many good memories to come in the future.

Hey Gil,
Thank you so much for the awesome learning experience I had with you. The first night at Lake Amador was amazing. Gil uses all the newest equipment such as new powell rods and diawa reels which makes fishing so easy. When fishing with Gil he will teach you new techniques that will improve your fishing abilities fast without any trial and error. So anyway back to the fishing. We went out and Gil showed me some good spots around the lake and techniques that work there. After fishing for a while and a few smaller fish Gil sets the hook on a five pounder. Then after a couple more hours Gil loses a good one at the boat. A half hour later I hook up with an 8+ fish but after she swims straight up from 30 feet and jumps right next to the boat, she comes off. All Gil and I got to see of her is her giant mouth before she comes off. Even though I lost a possible personal best for me I still had a great time and learned to fish deeper than 20 Ft. which I have never done before. Later on in the week I was fishing in the same spot and techniques Gil had shown me. I ended up with two 4's and what I think is the same fish I lost before which weighed in at 8.7 pounds. So in the end Gil taught me a new technique and enabled me to catch my personal best.
                                                                                   Thanks again,
                                                                                               Bryant
Hi Gil
I just wanted to say "THANK YOU" for the great fishing trip! I noticed you testimonial page was under construction so here ya go :)

I have been bass fishing for over 15 years and have been fishing tournaments for 8 years. I think the best way to learn a new technique is to fish with someone who is a pro at the technique you want to learn. I have fished with Gil a few times and have always caught good fish and learned something new. Last week Gil took me to Pardee to fish swimbaits. Until then, I had no confidence in them. They look too big, hard to throw and I had no idea where to throw them. Gil set me up with a swimbait rod and swimbait, took me to a point and explained how to fish the bait. Within a few casts we had fish fallowing the bait. I have NEVER seen a bait draw out so many big fish in my life. Not 1or 2 big fish, 5 or 6 BIG FISH at a time, it was amazing! We saw one fish smack the bait about 6 feet deep and about 10 feet from the boat, it had to be at least 12-14 pounds. Unfortunately we couldn't get it to take the bait but we did manage to get a 7 pounder off that point. Next we went to a small point with a brush pile near the bank and the first cast we had 4 big bass in the 5-8 pound range chase the bait. Unfortunately there was no wind and the fish were a little spooky and that's ok. I learned more in that one day fishing with Gil than I could have learned in days of trial and error.
I'm sure with this technique added to my bag of tricks I will be in the money my next tournament. I will have to send you a picture of my trophy and check!.
Thanks again and I'm looking forward to our next trip!
Jerry
